Our Vision

We envision a world where every student has the opportunity to learn and grow in a healthy environment, starting with access to safe and clean drinking water in their school.

Our mission is to make safe drinking water accessible to as many students as possible through scalable and lasting solutions.

Globally, 546 million students lack basic drinking water, affecting 1 in 3 schools worldwide and 2 in 3 in Africa.

Our Founding Story:

Before Impact Water launched in Uganda in 2014, affordable drinking water treatment options for schools were scarce.

Through small-scale pilot projects, we started to develop and refine scalable, cost-effective solutions to address this urgent need.

Today, we provide safe drinking water treatment to more than 25 million students across Kenya, Nigeria, and Uganda - transforming lives and ensuring a healthier future.

Where We Work:

We launched with small pilots projects in 2014 and now aim to make universal coverage of safe drinking water systems a reality in schools across Africa.

“I feel so proud and impressed knowing that a student somewhere will not go through what I went through when growing up, missing school days because of related waterborne diseases that I couldn’t understand at the moment.”
