A Student’s Perspective
“Staying free of waterborne diseases and having access to safe drinking water at school is a dream come true for me and my fellow students.”
— Achivya, Grade 8 Student
Students now have consistent access to safe water from the school’s eight 100-litre tanks—cleaned daily and treated with Ultratabs by the school cook, Freddy.
Brighton, another student, adds:
“There’s no more absenteeism due to typhoid.”
A Teacher’s Perspective
“We’ve seen a marked decrease in waterborne illnesses and a corresponding increase in class attendance and performance.”
— Teacher Benedette
Health teachers like Benedette and Anne have observed meaningful improvements in student well-being since the program began.
The Headteacher’s View
“Impact Water has had a profoundly positive effect on our school. The availability of safe, treated drinking water has significantly improved student health and attendance.”
— Mr. Kamweti, Headteacher
Mr. Kamweti not only ensured tanks were installed in accessible locations but also ensured school-wide adoption of the system through student education.
A Vital Role in the Kitchen
“I ensure the eight 100-litre blue tanks provided by Impact Water are washed every morning, filled with clean water, and treated with Ultratabs. Thanks to the Impact Water partnership, our students always have access to safe drinking water.”
— Freddy, School Cook
Freddy plays a crucial behind-the-scenes role in making sure safe drinking water is available to students every day.
